Friends of Scouting
The 2009 Friends of Scouting Campaign is now upon
us! Viking District has a goal of $33,000. We need
your help! We need all families new and old to
participate in this campaign. This year we ask that
you be equally as generous so we can maintain the
excellent programs we have all come to enjoy and
expect from our council.
Sharyn Roberts has developed a great committee of
Scouters who will be conducting a series of
phone-a-thons. When ‘the Call’ comes your way,
please realize that it is a Scouting volunteer who
is calling and be as generous as you can in your
giving to the Viking District of the Knox Trail
Council.

Family Camp Weekends are scheduled for the following
dates: June 6-7, 2009 June 13-14, 2009, June 20-21,
2009 and June 27-28, 2009.
WOW – Webelos Overnight Week – Is your son going to
be in 4th or 5th grade in
September? Is your son ready to go away with
friends or his den? Webelos Overnight is just for
him! It introduces Webelos to adventure programs
and camp activities that will prepare them for many
exciting, more rigorous Boy Scout Endeavors! Sign
