Camp Reservation Policy Due to the heavy use of both the Robsham and Nobscot Reservations it is vitally important that all units call the Council office to check availability. With increased use of both facilities by non-Scouting groups, which help fund the properties for all our use, occasionally some weekends may not be available for unit camping. Just as we close the reservation for a camporee or Order of the Arrow weekend, we occasionally need to do the same for other rentals. In order not to find yourself without a place to camp we recommend you call as early as possible.
All users needs to have a reservation form filled out and filed at the office. It is imperative that units not 'just show up' at camp, no matter how casual or informal the outing, given the camp demands today. Please call the Office to schedule in advance. We always try to accommodate all of the varied users of our camps, a growing task as demand for access to our unique and special camps continues to grow. We would also like to ask units, using Nobscot in particular, to carpool as much as possible, as parking is very limited. NOTE: Knox Trail Council Units do not need to file a Tour Permit if they are camping at either Robsham or Nobscot.
Any Council Committees, District Activities, Units Organizations or individuals desiring to use a site at the E. Paul Robsham, Jr. Reservation or Nobscot Reservation for a meeting, day use, camping, or any other activity, must:
Reservations are confirmed only when a completed Camp Reservation Form is filed with the office and necessary fees are paid. No written confirmation will be sent.
When the Camp Reservation Form is mailed a map and Camp Usage & Reservation Guidelines. These Guidelines cover the Policies on reservation & Refunds; Leadership; Check-in / Check-out; Vehicles; Water & Garbage; Fire, Liquid Fuels & Lanterns; Health & Safety; Emergencies at Camp; and Aquatics.
Occasionally either of the Reservations may be closed due to a camp wide activity, work project or rental.
